History

 

The earliest ferrite magnets are found in China in the 4th century BC, it is natural ferrite Fe304. As is well-known, the compass using ferrite is developed by Chinese people.
With the developing of radio engineering in the 1930s, people urgently require to use magnetic material with low loss of high-frequency. However nature ferrite is bad in electrical insulation, there are many countries (such as France, Japan, Germany, Holland etc.) sequentially developing ferrite magnets. Especially the Physicists J.L. the snooker came from Philip laboratory in Holland who developed the spinal structure containing zinc soft magnetic ferrite with excellent performance. In 1952, ferrite permanent magnet including BaFe12O19 was developed. With the developing of ferrite magnets application in industry and life, the manufacturing technology is more and more perfect.

Manufacturing Process

 

The manufacturing process of sintered ferrite magnets (ceramic magnets) is mainly divided into wet pressing anisotropic, dry pressing isotropic, dry pressing anisotropic, the difference between anisotropic & isotropic magnets is whether make a magnetic field orientation in the process of pressing. Here, we’d like to introduce the manufacturing process of wet pressing anisotropic magnets as follows:
Raw Material - Pre-sintering - Coarse Crushing (First Ball-milling) – Burdening - The Second Ball-milling (wet-milling) - Pressing – Sintering – Grinding – Cleaning – Magnetizing
